Production readiness for AI-built software

You built it with AI.We’ll make it production ready.

Engineering Bay audits, repairs and hardens AI-built software so you can confidently put it in front of real customers. We don’t care how you built it. We care whether it’s engineered well enough to run in production.

The problem

It works. That’s not the same as ready.

AI-assisted development gets you to a working product faster than traditional development ever did. That part is real, and we’re not here to talk you out of it.

But “it runs on my machine and a few customers are using it” hides a different question: what happens on the first bad day? The first bot scraping your endpoints, the first database restore, the first engineer who has to change code nobody wrote.

The bay process

Inspect → Refit → Harden → Clear → Maintain

Five stages, in order. You can stop after any one of them — most people start with an inspection and decide from there.

01

Inspect

Establish what you’ve actually built, and where it stands against production.

02

Refit

Keep what works. Repair or replace what doesn’t. No reflexive rewrites.

03

Harden

Security, reliability, operations and the failure cases nobody planned for.

04

Clear

A systems check and a production readiness rating. A real verdict, not a vibe.

05

Maintain

Keep it production ready as it changes — and as you keep shipping with AI.

Flagship product

The Bay Inspection

Before you ship it, inspect it. A fixed-scope examination of your repository, architecture, infrastructure, data model, security posture and deployment process.

You get an Inspection Report: what’s solid, what needs attention, what must be repaired before production — each finding with severity, evidence and a recommended fix. No obligation to have us do the work.

What we are, and aren’t

Keep the product. Fix the engineering.

Not a rewrite shop

A rewrite is an outcome, not a strategy. Most systems we see are two-thirds sound. We find the third that isn’t and deal with it honestly.

Not a code-review service

Code is one input. Architecture, data, infrastructure, deployment and recovery decide whether you survive contact with real users.

Not anti-AI

Keep building with AI — it’s working. We supply the engineering discipline around it so speed doesn’t quietly become risk.

Who brings software in

You’ve proven it’s useful. Now prove it’s reliable.

Our strongest engagements start with software that already has users. The idea is validated. The engineering is the open question.

01

Founders with a working prototype

Real usage, real customers, and a growing sense that the foundation needs checking.

02

Teams that inherited AI-generated code

Nobody on staff wrote it. It needs to become maintainable by people.

03

Businesses running internal systems

Built quickly to solve a real problem — now load-bearing for the company.

04

Investors and acquirers

Independent technical due diligence on an AI-built product before money moves.

Intake

Bring your code into the bay.

Tell us what you built and how it’s deployed. We’ll tell you whether an inspection is worth your money — and if it isn’t, we’ll say so.
